Terms of Service

Last updated: May 12, 2026

Welcome to Huminizer. By creating an account or otherwise using the Service you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Huminizer is a writing tool that rewrites text you submit so it reads more naturally and authentically. The Service is provided "as is" and is intended for improving the readability and authenticity of writing you have permission to modify.

2. Your Account

You must provide a valid email address and choose a password of at least 8 characters. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use at [Operator: insert support@yourdomain].

3. Permission Certification

By submitting text to the Service you certify that:

  • (a) you own the rights to that text or have obtained permission from the rights holder to modify it; and
  • (b) you have obtained any necessary permission from your institution, employer, or other authority (if applicable) to use a text-rewriting tool on that content.

You assume all responsibility for the consequences of submitting rewritten output to any third party, including academic institutions, publishers, or automated text-analysis systems.

4. Academic Integrity Disclaimer

Huminizer is a writing assistance tool intended to help you improve the clarity, flow, and natural readability of text. You are solely responsible for complying with the academic integrity policies of your institution, employer, or any other organization to which you submit work. Use of this Service in a manner that violates your institution's academic honesty policies, plagiarism rules, or similar regulations is your responsibility entirely. Huminizer makes no representation that any particular use of the Service is compliant with any institution's rules or applicable law.

5. No Detection Guarantees

AI text detectors are imperfect and change frequently. Huminizer makes no guarantees about specific detector outcomes for any submitted text. Any scores shown within the Service are estimates derived from open-source detectors and may not match the results of any particular third-party tool. Do not rely on this Service to produce any specific result from any detection system.

6. Acceptable Use

You may not use the Service to:

  • Submit content you do not have permission to modify.
  • Commit academic fraud or violate academic integrity policies in any jurisdiction.
  • Generate content for purposes prohibited by applicable law.
  • Attempt to extract internal prompts, model identities, or other proprietary system information.
  • Abuse free credits via disposable email addresses, automated signups, or other circumvention techniques.
  • Resell or sublicense the Service without our prior written permission.
  • Harass, defame, or harm any third party.

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these restrictions.

7. Credits and Billing

Credits are the unit of payment for the Service. Credit packs are non-refundable once the credits have been consumed by a successful humanization request. Unconsumed credits may be eligible for a refund under the terms described in our Refund Policy. We use Stripe (and may use Paddle as a backup payment processor) to process payments. Credits expire 12 months after purchase if unused.

8. Privacy and Data

Our handling of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy. By default we retain submitted text and rewritten output for no more than 30 days. You may request deletion of your data at any time.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Huminizer's total cumulative liability for any claim, loss, or damage arising from or related to your use of the Service is limited to the greater of:

  • (a) the fees you actually paid to us in the 12-month period immediately preceding the claim; or
  • (b) USD $50.

We expressly disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including without limitation any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages of any kind, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, or reputational harm, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusion of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Huminizer, its operators, officers, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, demands, losses, costs, expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees), or liability arising from or related to:

  • (a) your use of the Service;
  • (b) content you submit through the Service;
  • (c) your violation of these Terms; or
  • (d) your violation of any rights of a third party.

11. DMCA / Copyright

If you believe content accessible on or via Huminizer infringes your copyright, please contact our designated DMCA agent. Details of our DMCA designated agent are documented in our internal DMCA contact file (to be published at a public URL once the agent is registered with the U.S. Copyright Office per Phase 6 of our launch roadmap). Until then, takedown requests may be submitted by email to [Operator: insert dmca@yourdomain]. A complete DMCA takedown notice must include the elements required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3).

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our sole discretion, with or without notice. You may close your account at any time by contacting us. On termination, we will delete or anonymize your submitted text and rewritten output within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will provide notice by email or via an in-product announcement at least 7 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of a change constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Operator: insert jurisdiction — e.g., the State of Delaware, USA], without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in that jurisdiction.
